It’s a big subject and of course it has its own language which makes it opaque to the very people who might want to use it.

So, I want to simplify it. Remove the jargon. Following the example of Tammy Lenski and others, I remove the classifications like
- legal mediation,
- architectural mediation,
- educational mediation,
- therapist mediation
- family mediation,
- adjudication,
- arbitration,
- conciliation,
Why?Because, Courts are expensive, take forever, need specialists, lawyers, the outcomes are not in the hands of the people going to court and whatever happens in a Court is public.
So what is mediation?
So what does mediation offer? mediation utube
It’s much cheaper, it’s quicker, the outcomes may be binding, or may not be, you choose at the outset and what happens is totally private.
So, who should use it?
We all should because we all of us have a conflict at some time or other that needs to be dealt with. The Courts actually push people to avoid litigating by trying mediation first. Unfortunately, most people are too confused by it to want to do it, most lawyers don’t welcome it (it’s against their interest), most conflicts never go anywhere because law is so expensive - lives are wasted on what seems to be the unresolvable. Free yourself.
Have you got a conflict you're not really dealing with?
Tell me, have you tried to go down the mediation route?
What would you like to know to help you look at mediation?
